AERON
Manifesto

Agents will make the next million payments.

They cannot make one today. Aeron builds the rail that lets them: x402 over USDG on Robinhood Chain, settled by a facilitator we wrote and run. What the rail earns is converted into real-world assets for eligible $AERON holders.

Agents cannot pay.

An agent can read a spec, plan a task, and call an API. It cannot hold a card, clear a checkout, or accept terms on a page. Every autonomous loop that needs to buy something still ends at a human. Closing that gap is the whole job.

Gap
02

The unit of trade is one call.

Seats and monthly plans price a person's access to software. A machine needs a price on a single request, charged when the request is served and refused when it is not. HTTP reserved a status code for exactly this in 1997 and left it unused: 402 Payment Required.

Unit
03

x402 is the protocol. The facilitator is the work.

A 402 response only states terms. Something still has to verify the buyer's signature, move the money onchain, and answer inside the same request, without ever holding the funds. That part is unglamorous and it is the entire rail. Ours runs at x402.aeron.sh and the source is public.

Rail
04

Machine money belongs where real assets already trade.

We settle on Robinhood Chain in USDG. Tokenized equities trade on the same chain, so a balance an agent earns from work can be held as something that exists outside the chain. Machines paying each other in tokens backed by nothing is a closed loop.

Asset
05

Non-custodial, or it is not a rail.

Keys stay on the buyer's machine. A payment is one EIP-3009 signature; the relayer pays the gas and never touches buyer funds. Scopes cap what an agent may spend per call, per day, and per host, and a revoked scope applies on the next call, not the next release.

Custody
06

Claims are commands.

npx -y aeron-wallet@latest address creates a wallet. One pay command reads a 402, signs it, and retries the request. The first payment settled on this rail is onchain at block 48219147; the first one paid by the published npm binary is at block 49342487. Neither can be edited afterwards.

Proof
07

A million transactions is a receipts problem.

Nobody audits a million payments by hand. Every settlement has to leave a public row: buyer, seller, facilitator, amount, hash. Aeronscan indexes every x402 settlement on Robinhood Chain, ours and the ones from facilitators competing with us.

Receipts
08

The rail earns, and holders get real assets.

Agents pay → protocol earns → treasury buys real-world assets → eligible $AERON holders receive distributions. Claims are gated per jurisdiction. There are no blind airdrops here, and nothing on this page says anything about price.
